About Me

My name is Thomas Matchell and I am currently a student at Volunteer State Community College. I write for TheSettler.Online, a student-ran online newspaper. I was born in West Palm Beach, Florida and lived there for 12 years before moving to Hendersonville, Tennessee. I always took intrest in baseball when I was younger, but after moving away from Florida, I found the intrest for soccer. I began playing for Hendersonville Soccer Club at 12 years old and played up until my last season in 2022. Now that my time playing is done, I am now applying to become a head coach. 

 During my school years, I played and competed in many sports; Football, Ultimate Frisbee, and Track-and-Field. While at Hendersonville High School, I was a kicker/punter my senior year. My hobbies include graphics design, hanging out with friends, and listening to music.

The reason I started his blog is because recently there has not been much people signed up for recreational soccer, and hopefully this blog will bring attention to HSC.
